Dichloromethane
Dichloromethane has strong solubility, low boiling point, relatively low toxicity and relatively good reaction inertness, making it the most frequently used organic solvent in organic synthesis. As a solvent, its status is almost equivalent to that of water in inorganic salt chemistry. It is widely used in the manufacture of safe film and polycarbonate, and the rest is used as coating solvent, metal degreasing agent, aerosol spray, polyurethane foaming agent, mold release agent, and paint stripping agent.
